Nine kilometres from Mont Saint-Michel, Servon is a peaceful village in the Manche, nestled in the Norman bocage between Pontorson and Avranches. Far from the tourist bustle, it offers exactly what savvy visitors seek: calm, authenticity, and the Mont 10 minutes away by car.
Servon has kept its church, its granite houses and the sunken lanes typical of the bay's bocage. No souvenir shops or paid car parks here: meadows, hedgerows, and the silence of the countryside. From Servon, Mont Saint-Michel is 10 minutes via the D975 — beat the morning rush. Pontorson and its shops are 5 minutes away, Avranches 15 minutes, Saint-Malo and Cancale 40–45 minutes, Granville 40 minutes and the D-Day Beaches 1h15. No other base in the bay lets you roam so easily between Normandy and Brittany.
